Four Seasons by Jake Mosher is part of a further photo collection he calls The Metamorphosis series. Each print is a Lambda Print on Fujiflex High Reflexion paper. Mounted on 2mm aluminium.
Mosher uses tiny, highly-magnified sections of butterfly wings to create these exquisite images. As you can see in Four Seasons, these works are the result of a number of processes. For instance; replicating, revolving, and expanding hundreds of individual photos. Most importantly, he never alters colour. Nor does he import any foreign designs, or add any type of artificial drawing. His images maintain the same symmetry the butterfly possess, transforming them into visual showpieces. They are as varied as the lovely insects that he photographs.
Jake Mosher is a multi-award-winning photographer from Montana, USA. He grew up in Northern Vermont, in the heart of some of New England’s wildest country. From a very young age, he found himself at home in the deep woods, falling in love with the natural world around him.
Jake Mosher says about Four Seasons and his other works:
These Metamorphosis images that I’ve created are an entirely new art form. They’re part of photographic history, the likes of which the world has never seen.
